hwii.net - post office

Our lives are a spiritual journey. It's only when you keep records of it that you truly realize the profoundness of it all. I plan on starting this blog, hopefully to be updated frequently, not only to practice and improve my awful writing skills, but to document my life as a real person that actually exists in the world, much like you.

I don't claim to understand how the world works. Hell, I don't claim to understand much of anything, but I do know this: no matter your system of beliefs, you must realize that you can only live this life once. Sure, you might get reincarnated as a cat in the next life, but your chance of living right now, in this year, in this place, is a one-time deal.

Someday I'd like to get a job at the post office. Something seemingly mundane, but, all things considered, it keeps our world spinning. Even more importantly for myself, it would give me a purpose - a mission, a reason to wake up each day, tired and fighting an eternal headache, and march to the 'office, doing anything to affect the world around me.

The days of wandering from community to community, looking for purpose, making life-changing decisions which act as temporary solutions to permanent problems, well, they're over. I was born to be living, living for myself. Whoever I decide I wanna be, whoever I decide to wanna be with, that's what it'll be. I'll take it one day at a time. I keep looking back and forth, dizzying my view of the present, and I'm damn sick of it.

Post office job or not, I have a purpose. It's out there, waiting for me, and I'll find it.
